    Why Should You Attend?

You’re earning the credits anyway. So do it without being tied to your desk at home—or worse, spending days in a windowless room. At Pathology in the Park, half the day is intensive CME, while half the day is free—for Orlando, for downtime, for friends and family and fun. It's a professional trip that earns its keep and still feels like a break.

    The Program: GI/Pancreas and Hematopathology

Pathology in the Park is designed for pathologists at all experience levels and practice settings, including lab and medical directors, residents and fellows, and pathology teams. Each day’s CME session runs 4.5 hours (four hour-long courses plus a 30-minute break).

This year's faculty are recognized leaders in their subspecialties:

Kamran M. Mirza, MD, PhD, FCAP

Hematopathology. Peripheral blood smears (benign/infectious and malignant), extranodal lymphomas, large B-cell lymphoma.

Mary Kay Washington, MD, PhD, FCAP

GI. Esophageal inflammation, gastritis, GI cancer staging (AJCC 9th), IBD dysplasia.

Aatur D. Singhi, MD, PhD, FCAP

GI. Pancreatic FNB, bile duct biopsies, pancreatic NETs, and the imposters that mimic them.

    Free Time

Each day’s CME session will exercise your brain—take the rest of the day to relax it! And you don't have to “do Disney” to make the trip worthwhile. Orlando and Walt Disney World have lots of dining options and plenty to do without a park ticket; the parks and the family time are always there if you want them.

    Stay & Travel

Walkable to Epcot, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn is right on the water. Orlando International (MCO) is about 25 minutes away. Book in the CAP room block–it closes June 22.
